“There you go, Carl, hope it does the trick,” Leslie said.

“Hope so too. Sure don’t want to replace the whole thing—too expensive,” Carl said, as he and his friend made their way toward the door.

“Here’s the inventory list I wanted you to check over,” Tim’s voice made Leslie jump. “Who was that you were talking to before Carl came in?”

“Detective Landry from the Pittsburgh Police. He’s also my niece’s boyfriend, and it seems that my niece has been revealing some family information. That needs to stop,” Leslie bit out.

“Whoa, easy girl, if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s you don’t want to attract unwanted attention from the police,” her brother pointed out. “You know there’s plenty of rumors going around that Johnny Lynn poisoned her cousin because she stole Zach away from her.”

“They have no proof Johnny Lynn did it. You know, I think Ella Mae is somehow involved in this murder.”

“Ella Mae? John’s fiancé? Why would she kill Tatum?”

“I don’t know, but I saw her coming down the stairs before the bridal party was announced.”

Tim’s eyes narrowed. “Really? You should’ve told the detective that.”

“Yes…Maybe I should.” She took the paper from her brother’s hand while watching the detective’s SUV pull into traffic. “I’ll get right on that inventory.”
